Refinery Privacy Policy

Refinery is a privately operated automation system used to collect and summarize data sources authorized by its owner. This policy explains how Refinery handles Google Calendar data.

Google Calendar access

With the account holder’s explicit authorization, Refinery requests read-only access to Google Calendar. This access allows Refinery to retrieve calendar event information, such as event titles, dates, times, locations, descriptions, and attendee information when present, solely to create the owner’s personal daily summaries.

Refinery does not create, edit, or delete Google Calendar events.

How data is used

Google Calendar data is used only to generate and deliver the authorized account holder’s Refinery summaries. It is not sold, rented, shared for advertising, used to serve ads, or used for any purpose unrelated to the owner’s summaries.

Authorization and control

Google Calendar access is authorized by the account holder. The account holder may revoke Refinery’s Google account authorization at any time through their Google Account permissions. Revocation stops Refinery’s future access to Google Calendar data.
